With the new James Bond film, No Time To Die, due to be released in the UK later this month, we take a look at the incredible motorcycles that feature in the film…
Triumph is the only motorcycle partner in No Time To Die, and their Tiger 900 and Scrambler 1200 motorcycles feature in key stunt scenes in the 25th James Bond film. To commemorate this, Triumph have released stunning limited-edition models of both motorcycles – the ‘Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition’ and ‘Tiger 900 Bond Edition.’
Firstly, let’s look at the Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition. Unveiled last year, the ‘Bond Edition’ Scrambler 1200 is highly specified from the factory, fitted with cruise control, keyless ignition, heated grips and USB charging. There are six riding modes for on and off road, controlling the ABS, throttle response and traction control. The Scrambler has fully adjustable Ohlins rear shock absorbers and Brembo brakes as standard.
To differentiate the Bond Edition from the standard Scrambler, the bike has special 007 detailing, including an embroidered logo on the leather seat, 007 branding on the lower side panel and a special Bond start-up on the TFT screen.
The Scrambler 1200 Bond Edition has a unique 007 paint scheme with blacked-out finishes, including black anodized rear and high-level front mudguard, black forks, engine badges with gold accents, black powder-coated swingarm and sprocket cover, plus black anodized grab rail, sump guard and infills and rear wheel adjusters.
Unfortunately, the Bond Edition Scrambler 1200 sold out within minutes when it was released last year, but a few have since popped up on auction sites – so if you missed out first time around, keep your eyes peeled!
Next, the Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro Bond Edition. Showcased this week, only 250 Tiger 900 Bond Edition’s will be available worldwide. Based on the phenomenal Tiger 900 Pro, the Bond Edition features distinctive features and add-ons to set the bike apart from the rest of the range.
Each Tiger 900 Bond Edition motorcycle is individually numbered, with a signed certificate of authenticity. The bike features a Matt Sapphire Black paint scheme, exclusive 007™ graphics and blacked out detailing, making it truly unique. The Bond edition is fitted with Bridgestone Battlax tyres and also comes with a set of high spec Michelin Anakee Wild off-road tyres, which can be fitted to the Tiger 900 for advanced off-road capability. Both the rider and pillion seat are heated and stitched with unique Bond Edition branding. The Bond Edition bike also has a premium Arrow Silencer, and, just like the Scrambler, its TFT features an exclusive 007 start up screen.
