Now is a great time to try some of the UK’s best motorcycle riding routes. If you’re fed up with staying local and have the itch to explore, why not try some of these great roads and riding routes…
- Explore the Costswolds on this 190-mile route, taking in Stratford Upon Avon, Uffington White Horse, Avebury and finishing up in beautiful Bath. Doable in a day, there are some great places to stay en route if you wanted to make more of your trip.

A stunning 516-mile route around the Scottish coast, the route features castles, beaches and historical ruins! The North Coast 500 starts and ends at Inverness Castle, whilst also taking in Ullapool, Durness, John O’Groats, Dornoch and Inverness. Head to Northcoast500 for help planning your road trip. As this a popular route and passing spots can be scarce, it may also be worth looking at alternative routes before you set off. Roads around Moffat and out towards Stranraer are a great option, but there’s also plenty of spectacular riding around the Cairngorms.
- The A39 is one of the longest roads in the South West and connects Bath with Falmouth. 197 miles long, the route has a spectacular section between Minehead and Barnstaple, which includes some incredibly steep hills, considerable cliff-top roads, and views of the stunning Exmoor scenery. There are also some amazing pubs along the coast if you want to stop to refuel!
- Northern Ireland’s Antrim Coast is a 60-mile stretch that follows the Northern-Irish coastline along well-maintained tarmac. The route has a great mix of sweeping bends, long straights, and smooth hills. There’s also the option to take in some of Ireland’s amazing natural phenomenon’s, such as the Giant’s Causeway and the caves of Cushendun.
- The ‘Cat and Fiddle’ route is another well known road. Named after the inn – the second highest public house in England – the Cat and Fiddle stretches across the western section of the Peak District from Buxton into Macclesfield. Challenging bends and stunning scenery make the route incredibly popular.
