A leaner, meaner and more agile iteration of the standard KTM 1290 Super Duke R, the limited-edition RR is 9kg lighter with an impressive 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. The 1,301 cc LC8 V-Twin engine churns out a seriously spectacular 180bhp and 103lb-ft of torque. Teamed with the 9kg weight saving, this bike is a track day weapon.
Every single body panel of the RR is made from lightweight carbon fiber.. The bike’s chassis has been revised and its livery has also been given a makeover, with standout, contrasting colours and RR graphics.
There’s a whole host of new accessories for the RR alongside the carbon fibre and new styling. The RR comes with adjustable controls throughout, a titanium Akrapovic exhaust silencer and a quick-action throttle. There’s also an adjustable 760mm wide handlebar, track-ready, super sticky Michelin Power Cup 2 tyres and new LED taillights.
The Super Duke RR shares the same 5-inch TFT screen as the standard R model but features a fresh new design. The RR gets extra ‘Performance Mode’ and ‘Track Mode’ riding settings, with Track Mode changing the TFT screen’s readout for a more circuit-oriented display.
