Glass from edge to edge and with a super sleek appearance, Harley-Davidson’s 2019+ Boom! Box GTS is a seriously good-looking infotainment system!
Included on Harley-Davidson’s Heavyweight Touring and Trike models, as well as the CVO line, the Boom! Box GTS infotainment system replaced the previous system, the 6.5GT.
Harley-Davidson say, “Every element has been optimized to enhance the rider’s interaction with the motorcycle and connectivity with the world to ultimately improve the motorcycle touring experience.”
The 6.5-inch TFT display on the GTS is the same size as the 6.5GT’s, but Harley Davidson removed all physical buttons and eliminated the plastic surround, providing a completely glass flatscreen. The glass is optimized for use in wet or dry and Harley-Davidson claim the screen is just as responsive while using it with gloves. The screen also boasts 100% more resolution and better contrast than the GT display it replaces. While the updated glass screen is amazing in both looks and functionality, it’s much more vulnerable and prone to damage. Make sure you fit a screen protector to your Boom! Box GTS. Available in both ultra-clear and anti-glare, Speedo Angels screen protectors are the best way to protect your precious screen and help retain resale value.
Other improvements to the newer Boom! Box include a much faster start-up time, quicker route calculation, Bluetooth compatibility, and increased memory size. The Boom! Box GTS responds to the finger gestures that we’re all familiar with from our smartphone use: swipe, pinch, and drag. The new home screen display is similarly simple with just three key system buttons: Navigation, Phone, and Music.
You’ll find the Boom! Box GTS fitted as standard equipment on the following 2019+ Harley-Davidson models; Ultra Limited, Ultra Limited Low, Road Glide Ultra, Road Glide Special, Street Glide Special, CVO Limited, CVO Street Glide, CVO Road Glide and Tri-Glide Ultra, and it’s a factory-installed option on the Street Glide, Road Glide and Electra Glide Ultra Classic.
