Ducati Unveil Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro and Urban Motard

Last week, Ducati unveiled two new Scramblers – the 1100 Tribute Pro and the Urban Motard. The Tribute Pro marks 50 years of Ducati’s V-twin engine and the Urban Motard draws inspiration from Ducati’s 2019 Scrambler Motard concept.

Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro

Ducati’s new 1100 Tribute Pro features striking solid ochre-yellow bodywork, the old Ducati logo on the tank and round, retro mirrors. It’s been 50 years since the air-cooled twin-cylinder engine was first introduced on a Ducati, so the retro styling is a nice way to pay homage to Ducati’s past.
The engine is the standard air-cooled two-valve 1,079cc desmo V-twin (refined to meet Euro 5 emission standards) which produces 86 horsepower at 7500 rpm and 66.5 ft-lbs of torque at 4750 rpm. The chassis is the same basic steel-tubing trellis Scrambler unit, and cool black wire-spoke wheels replace the cast-aluminium wheels.
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 tribute Pro’s electronics package includes traction control and ABS, plus three riding modes (Active, Journey, and City).

Next up is the new Urban Motard which joins the Scrambler 800 range.

The engine of the Urban Motard is Ducati’s 803 cc desmo L-twin producing 73 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and 48.5 foot-pounds of torque at 5,750 rpm. The Urban Motard’s styling includes a flat seat, number plates, and graffiti-inspired graphics. The bike has black spoked wheels (17-inch front and back) and Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres fitted as standard.
The bike’s brakes are different from other Scrambler 800’s (a Brembo 330mm front disc with a four-piston caliper and a 245mm rear disc with a floating caliper and one active piston), but the electronics package is borrowed from the Scrambler 800 range and includes all-LED lighting, optional Ducati Media System smartphone integration, and cornering ABS.

Both the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro and Urban Motard are due to arrive in UK dealers in November and are priced from £11,995 and £10,390 respectively.
