The Bike Highlight – Aprilia Tuono 660 2022 Factory

For years ‘Factory’ has been Aprilia’s codeword for ‘high-spec’. Don’t make the same mistake I did in thinking it just meant “as standard”. In 2022 it’s the Tuono 660’s turn to get the Factory treatment – resulting in a lighter, more powerful and better equipped version of the impressive parallel twin middleweight.

For enhanced street comfort, the House of Noale equipped the Tuono with relaxed ergonomics, a larger sprocket, and trimmed bodywork. The spring preload and rebound damping adjustable 41mm USD fork and rear shock also suited street riding. However a new Factory variant adapts the Tuono to both road and track duty. Best of both worlds!

As expected, you get the full Aprilia Performance Ride Control system with its 6-axis IMU controlling everything. That’s wheelie control, traction control, cornering ABS and you even get cruise control. And the new Factory comes with an up and down quick shifter. You get five riding modes too! Don’t know about you guys but I’m old school with my 3 clocks and that’s it!

The bike comes in a new ‘Factory Dark’ paint job, and I do love black! Although all the pictures show a single seat with a racing-style cowl, you also get the pillion seat and pegs in case you want to share the experience. I do really like the semi-naked look too again with both a sporty and street look.

The standard Aprilia Tuono 660 is just shy of £10k, so we’d expect the Factory to be between £11k and £12k.
