The Indian Chief range for 2021 consists of three models: the Chief Dark Horse, Chief Bobber Dark Horse and the Super Chief Limited.

Each Chief motorcycle shares the same Thunderstroke 111 engine which produces 108 ft-lbs of torque. There’s also a brand new chassis and each Chief model comes with keyless ignition, cruise control as standard. There are three ride modes to choose from – Tour, Standard and Sport plus full LED lighting. There’s also a smart new 4-inch, colour TFT dash which we love! The circular screen gives a choice of displays, turn-by-turn navigation, and when connected to a wireless headset can give control of music and calls, connecting to your phone by Bluetooth or USB.

The Chief Dark Horse is the base model of the 2021 Chief Range. There’s no chrome on this model, is the only bike to feature alloy wheels and has an empty fuel tank weight of 294kg.

Next up is the Chief Bobber Dark Horse which is also chrome-less but gains fork and shock covers, a headlight bucket, and fat tyres on 16-inch wire-spoked wheels. The Chief Bobber Dark Horse weighs in at 304kg.

The most premium model in the Chief range is the aptly named Super Chief Limited. For an extra 4k you’ll get a chromed exhaust and polished engine, a more relaxed riding position, leather saddlebags, a pillion seat, and a quick-release screen. The Super Chief Limited has a dry weight of 324kg. There are also more colour options to choose from, including metallic red and blue.
